ROTT… to this day, the bazook-iest game I’ve ever played. It was fast, silly and fun, and had a lot of firsts, like dripping, raining gibs, and guys who would play dead. Definitely have to check this new one out!

You know what sticks most in my head about the original? Those somewhat photo-realistic eye balls flying around. And in fact, most of those sprites looked like they were based on photos.

People keep whining about how graphics are so important today and it used to be all about gameplay… yeah right. At least half of the games I loved as a kid, I played because of the visual experience, not some abstract idea of game mechanics.

So what does that mean relating to this game here? The point is that it does not succeed in any way to wow me as much as the original did back then. Quite the opposite. Looks more like a lackluster rehash.
