Castle of Illusion dev diary packed with gorgeous footage

Tuesday, 23rd July 2013 03:12 GMT By Brenna Hillier

You’re supposed to be learning something from this Castle of Illusion developer diary, but what you’ll probably spend most of your time doing is grinning foolishly in recognition of the familiar but lovingly updated Disney game.

Castle of Illusion is the last game from Sega Studios Australia, which will close later this year. In the video below, some of the development team discuss their love for the original Mega Drive (or Genesis) game and how the HD remake is sticking closely to those fond memories; one of the more interesting sections talks about how the original music is being recycled.

Expect the digital release before the end of northern summer on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Thanks, CVG.

I played the crap out of this game when i was a kid. It was my second MegaDrive game in fact.

I just wonder what Sega will fuck up with this one. They always have to fuck something up these days.
