Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag shots show shark combat, naval battles & more

Monday, 22nd July 2013 17:00 GMT By Dave Cook

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has received a batch of Comic-Con screens courtesy of Ubisoft. The images show Edward Kenway holding a mysterious blue cube, harpooning a vicious shark and robbing a dead man of his booty.

The image dump also includes a list of naval weapons at Kenway’s disposal, encompassing chain shots, floating mines, swivel guns, mortars and heavy shots. There’s also a list of ship classes that include Kenways vessel the Jackdaw, gunboats, schooners, brigs, frigates and the big bad of them all, the Man of War. Just look at the size of it.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag hits PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on October 29 in North America and November 1 across Europe. It’s also coming to PS4 and Xbox One at some point too.

Is there actual historical evidence that pirates used mascara?

@1, of course, have you not seen Pirates of the Caribbean?

@2: Oh right, Pirates of the Caribbean. Sorry, totally forgot about that series.

Wonder if they are going to flip over a ship in this game as well?

They lost a lot of that historical accuracy over the course of the series, haven’t they? The first one was pretty accurate.

Also Ubisoft should stop photoshopping (bombing more like) their screenshots that hard.

@5: No shit you were joking. You can’t actually flip a ship over and travel into a different world. Also there are no fish people.

Assassin’s Meh more like. AC has become wasted potential and I cant believe they truly are keeping it an annual release. The appeal of AC for me has been ruined.
