Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies rated M

North America's premiere games rating body has deemed Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies too extreme for under-17's.

Although the rating is yet to appear on the ESRB's public-facing database, a Capcom representative confirmed it with Joystiq .

"Due to the nature of the various crimes and storylines in this latest title in the series, ESRB deemed the title an M," the spokesperson said.

The ESRB has reportedly flagged the title "Blood, Violence, Suggestive Themes, Language", as it has done for previous entries in the series.

The Ace Attorney games are light-hearted crime drama affairs told in an visual novel adventure style, and have generally been considered pretty family friendly.

The latest Phoenix Wright title is coming in northern autumn but has not been dated. A 3DS eShop release is assured, but a physical release seems to have fallen off the radar, unfortunately. We do have some new Dual Destinies gameplay footage, if that's any help?
