Time and Eternity trailer hails North American launch

Tuesday, 16th July 2013 21:34 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Time and Eternity – also known as Tokitowa and Toki to Towa outside the western realm – has been released by NIS America. The Imageepoch-developed RPG landed on PS3 today in the US, and if you head below you can have a look at the launch trailer. I totally forgot all about this, and now I will have to run to town when I get off work. Thanks, Evil Avatar.

This brought fail to a whole other level.

Also, i never understood how people can still play games with turnbased combat like this. Holy shit it looks stupid, attacking an opponent just standing there. Because it’s not his turn to hit back yet.

Each to his own i guess.

I heard nothing but bad things about this game. It also bombed hard in Japan.
Why did NISA even bother with this?

The animation looks awfully poor. Is this a Sega Saturn game?

I loved Tokitowa but that’s not saying much; great concept/Art style, and killer seiyuu cast but otherwise poor execution across most of it sadly.

@2 – It is possible to make interesting turn-based games, however most of the games are tied to old limited mechanics of late 80s and early 90s games. Unfortunately, though battles represent most of the action in a RPG game, the “professional reviewers” praise the battle system in a game whose story and art presentation they liked and criticize the same battle system in a game where they didn’t like the story, the visuals and the animations.

#2 well this game looks bad but many people still enjoy turn based strategy/rgp games.

XcomEnemyUnknown last october was a success and Shadorun returns this month will also sell good.

There are not enough games like that even so they sell well.
