Guild Wars 2: Cutthroat Politics update goes live next week

Guild Wars 2 is getting another content update next week with Cutthroat Politics. In it, players can vote between two different candidates, causing permanent changes to the world of Tyria.

Apparently, there's a vacant seat on the Captain’s Council of Lion’s Arch, and "two powerful figures have emerged as the leading candidates."

Players will have the opportunity to support either the war hero Ellen Kiel or the prominent merchant Evon Gnashblade to fill the seat. The winner will be signing a "lucrative trade agreement with the merchants of the Zephyr Sanctum."

This update is the second since ArenaNet officially confirmed its move to a two-week update schedule.

Cutthroat Politics also brings with it new events, rewards and features. More details can be found through the Guild Wars 2 website.

Expect the content to go live on July 23.

Don't forget to submit your questions to ArenNet for a livestream Q&A tonight, July 16. You never know - your question could be answered.
