    Skipping this.

See, I liked the sea stuff of AC III and I’d like more of it. But then you double it in with the airport novel quality writing that they expect you to take seriously, and the gameplay which consists of mashing two buttons to move/win, which is no more complicated than Cow Clicker.

It angers me, honestly. It makes me very angry that these brilliant game mechanics are mired in such a tremendously shit game. I won’t repeat myself too much, but it just gets under my skin. I dislike the way Ubisoft has turned annual franchises into a fetish. If this had been a new IP, it might have actually had a decent game to go along with the brilliant ship mechanics.

As it is, I think I’ll stick with Sid Meier’s Pirates! for now.

I wonder if an indie team could do something like this? I played Air Buccaneers to death and I’d love to see something like the sea battle mechanics of this or Air Buccaneers but with a single-player campaign.
