WWE 2K14 publisher 2K Games has confirmed that legendary wrestler the Ultimate Warrior will be offered as a bonus to pre-order customers.

Ultimate Warrior made his wrestling debut in 1987 and went on to become a feared legend in the ring. He’ll come with pre-orders at select retailers for PS3 and Xbox 360 editions of the game and will be playable at launch October 29 in North America and November 1 elsewhere.

Here’s an example of just how mad Ultimate Warrior was back in his day. He really hated Hulk Hogan:

Chris Snyder, Senior Director of Marketing at 2K said of the Warrior, “There has never been another WWE Superstar quite like the Ultimate Warrior – his intensity and energy is unmatched, and his legacy is undeniable. Fans love him, opponents fear him and everyone can agree that he’s one of the most iconic Legends in WWE history. Pre-ordering WWE 2K14 is the only way we mere mortals will ever have a glimpse into the greatness that is Ultimate Warrior.”

I love the Warrior but what I want to hear after last year’s game is “There are actually two-counts and things actually happen in Universe mode” rather than roster news. WWE ’13 was completely broken which I chalk up partially to the dying days of THQ but it was unacceptable and I hope 2K will have Yuke’s get their ish together for this one. I’ve bought these games on release day for years, they’re what made me finally understand why other people did the same thing with Madden, but ’13 was the biggest disappointment they’ve given me. Again, I love Warrior but unless things are seriously confirmed to be better this year then he won’t be enough for me to pre-order.
