Pong creator launches smartphone-augmented card game on Kickstarter

Allan Alcorn, the creator of Pong, is one of the key creatives behind a new smartphone-augmented party game on Kickstarter. Seriously isn't precisely a video game - the companion app provides AR features for the physical cards - but since Alcorn is such an important part of the industry's history, we have to give it a little nod here. Alcorn created Pong as part of a training exercise set by Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, and it went ont to become the first widely-recognised arcade game, popularising video games in mainstream culture.
