Gran Turismo 6 to include the Goodwood Hill Climb course

Thursday, 11th July 2013 22:20 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Gran Turismo 6 will include the Hill Climb course featured in the Goodwood Festival of Speed, something those in the UK should be familiar with.

Polyphony Digital has partnered with the 2013 race, which runs July 11-14, by bringing the course to the game. The developer has also developed a new demo featuring the Hill Climb and a variety of cars.

Attendees at Goodwood will have the opportunity to play the demo, and as it stands, it will only be available on-site at Goodwood.

Sony says there are no plans for a wider release of the demo for the moment.

A third GT6 concept video featuring the aforementioned track is below along with screenshots.

Gran Turismo 6 is out later this year on PS3.

As one of the, if not the biggest, GT fans of VG247, I can say that this track is a bit pointless. Its more of a tribute and celebration of the event, but to actually “race” up it in a minute it looks meh. Funnily enough though, the inclusion of such things is why I love love love Gran Turismo. Can’t wait to see the rest of the new tracks.

That last bit is spot on. Needs some good classic cars to go up it.

@2 It’ll be good for photo ops yeah? Probably have a version of it for photo mode too, maybe in front of that sculpture.
