Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness NA and EU release date set

Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness - which you may know better by the title Disgaea Dimension 2 - arrives in the west from September.

Siliconera reports the Nippon Ichi RPG arrives on PlayStation 3 on September 27 in Europe and on October 8 in North America.

It will come in two flavours - the bog standard $50 retail version, and a $105 special edition sold exclusively through NIS America's online store.

The special edition includes one figure each of Flonne and Etna, an artbook, a two-disc soundtrack, a strategy guide and five art cards. That's more content than Japanese fans had access to, in fact.

Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness was announced under the code name Project D and formally unveiled in October. It's actually a follow up to the very first Disgaea, and its gameplay combines features from the whole series to date - and characters from throughout the franchise's timeline.
