Dark launch trailer features many enthusiastic pullquotes

Sunday, 7th July 2013 02:03 GMT By Phil Owen

Dark, a stealh-ish game from the creators of Dungeons: The Dark Lord, received a stealth release from Kalypso this week, but apparently there are enough folks in the enthusiast media who like it that they managed to fill this trailer to the brim with quotes, most of which are excited. And then there’s “Looks to be a fun mix of stealth and action” thrown in for some reason.

Aside from pullquotes, this trailer is all about showing how Dark’s vampire hero can kill people in tons of different ways. Yes, it’s a gameplay trailer. Cool. Watch.

This thing is out not on PC worldwide and Xbox 360 in Europe. NA 360 version hits Tuesday.

It has great things.. but it is not a great game. 6,5/10. Great graphics, bad running and talking animations. Simple stuff like moving over a object or a ledge is not present and could add much more to the game. Fast and not that great Story. Weird Boss fights. The Powers and Stealth are great but needed more movement liberty available. I still hope for a big developer to do a Open World Vampire game. Or maybe a remake/sequel to The masquarade.

Not the same as the entire vampire aspect of the game much like most of the TES series is shallow. The closest anyone has for a open world vampire game is Masquerade.

Didn’t mention it as it is too quick to complete and by the time it gets interesting the game is over. But you are right would lap this game and only at a fraction of the cost.

except eurogamer all the quotes come from unknown/obscure amateur website. How can you take this seriously?

And from what i heard… This game is really far from a great game.

I still don’t get it , how this game got so much attention even if looks like shit.

@8: Probably because it looks like shit.

The look however is the least of it’s problems. The writing is a crime.

“Hi, erm, like, you’re a vampire now, so go and drink someone’s blood, you can, you know, like totally get a real vampire then.”

    “Okay.”

I have to agree with YoungZer0. I recently finished the game and I can say with utmost certainty that the game’s story is absolutely abysmal.

And the gameplay is average at best.

If I were you, I’d wait for a sale or ignore it completely. You won’t miss a thing.

The game doesn’t come close to The Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, which I, in my nostalgia, hyped this game to be like.
