Saint's Row 4 'low violence version' appears on Steam Australia

Saint's Row 4 developer Volition has listed a 'low violence version' of it's mad sandbox romp on Steam Australia. The listing comes as the regular version was denied classification across the country last week.

Kotaku AU reports that the 'low violence version' is only applicable to Steam Australia, and pre-orders are being accepted now.

When asked by Kotaku AU, the Australian Classification Board said it had no idea the game was being sold on Steam, suggesting that it has not yet passed certification. Responding to the listing, a Deep Silver rep told the site that, "Deep Silver has no further comments at this time."

We'll keep our eyes on this one for now. The game's out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 from August 20 in the States, and August 23 across Europe.
