Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn has attracted over 1 million registrants to its beta program, Square Enix told us today. Go sign up. Just a reminder that A Realm Reborn is a completely new game built will all the benefit of Square Enix’s experience launching the original Final Fantasy 14, so if you were put off the first time it’s worth another look. Reports from the beta have been disarmingly positive. The MMORPG is coming to PC and PlayStation 3 – with crossplay – in August.

Well here’s one disarmingly negative review for ya: the game is an utter shit and I have no idea how they planning to succeed with it. It’s ugly. It’s boring. It’s generic in it’s “fetch this and kill few of those and use this item on that” quests. Couldn’t play it long enough to get into some dungeon. The only good thing about this game is a breat slider, and even that stops when it only starts getting interesting…
