Proteus confirmed for PS3 and Vita

Monday, 1st July 2013 16:08 GMT By Sherif Saed

Award-winning indie title Proteus is coming to PS3 and PS Vita this autumn.

The announcement was made on the EU PS Blog.

The exploration game was released earlier this year for PC to amazing critical response.

The game will be part of the Cross Buy system for the consoles. The post also mentions that the PS3 and Vita versions will be “better” than the PC game.

Ouh, that’s a good one! Gimme! I’ll have it on the Vita. In the bathtub. ;-)

I will be trying this out. Been wanting to try it for a while but my crappy laptop isn’t up to it.

I know it will be controversial for some but I would be more than ok if the future of Vita was lots of great indie games like Hotline, Spelunky, Guacamelee, Sound Shapes etc with a few Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Rayman games every year.

Well not Assassins Creed as I don’t like it but hopefully you get my point :)

Never, EVER expected this game on a console. Vita is getting mighty tempting.

… or you could just take a walk through the park. One of the most pointless games out there.

@7 it’s like saying “You could also visit an island” or “read a book” about playing Dear Esther. You don’t like it and obviously aren’t amenable for this sort of experience (avoided the term: game)

@8: No, I think you could compare Dear Esther to an audiobook. Which is essentially what it is, but with graphics.
