Major League Gaming sets new attendance records

Despite the late notice, Major League Gaming's latest Pro Circuit event has shattered previous attendance records.

The three-day Spring Championship in Anaheim drew 21,000 attendees - both competitors and fans - to set a new record for the largest crowd in the eSports organisation's history. MLG called it.

The record is particularly notable as this latest Pro Circuit entry was announced quite late and still managed to pull huge crowds; rumour has it the StarCraft 2 World Championship Series was to blame.

It wasn't the only first for MLG; the league hosted a special All Star Showdown, with athletes Dwight Howard (Los Angeles Lakers), Dez Bryant (Dallas Cowboys), Ty Lawson (Denver Nuggets) and DeJuan Blair (San Antonio Spurs) participating.

The winners are listed below, or you can head over to MLG to watch replays of the matches. The next Pro Circuit Championship will take place in Columbus, Ohio, from November 22 through 24.
