Drakengard 3 publisher Square-Enix has dated the dragon-infested adventure for Japan. The game will also receive a 10th Anniversary edition to commemorate the birth of the trilogy, and we’ve got the first image of the bonus extras here.

The special edition box is coming October 31 and the Square-Enix store lists the following goodies:

  • Drakengard World Inside book with a poster from series artist Kimihiko Fujisaka, commentary from Yoko Taro and a story written by Sawako Natori that connects all of the games – Drakengard, Drakengard 2, Nier, and Drakengard 3 – together.
  • Drakengard Chips Music has 24 tracks remixed from Drakengard, Drakengard 2, Nier Gestalt, and Nier Replicant with an 8-bit feel.
  • Drakengard History Films is a Blu-ray disc with movies from earlier games in the series, trailers, and commercials.
  • Drakengard Novel Prelude
  • Drakengard Visual Book
  • Drakengard 3 DLC code
  • Drakengard 3 for PlayStation 3 with an illustration drawn by Kimihiko Fujisaka with characters from all of the Drakengard games together.

I would love import this for that box art alone. But 19800¥? You can buy a friggin PS Vita for that money and still have some money left.

I will be incredibly bummed out if this doesn’t get a Western release. I’d even settle for a digital-only one.
