Shadow Warrior Classic Redux headed to Steam

By Brenna Hillier, Wednesday, 26 June 2013 00:54 GMT

An upgraded version of the original Shadow Warrior is on the way, boasting extra content and HD tweaks.

The new version will have “updated visuals”, a remixed soundtrack, and two expansion packs – Wanton Destruction and Twin Dragon.

This is not the free version of the game which released in late May, but a premium product which will cost “under $10” according to the Shadow Warrior Facebook Page.

It’s also not the reboot which is in the works at Hard Reset developer Flying Wild Hog.

Shadow Warrior originally released in 1997 and was developed by 3D Realms. It’s notable for its controversial treatment of Asian cultural themes.
