Cosmic Star Heroine is the next RPG from Zeboyd Games, the same team behind Cthulhu Saves the World as well as the third and fourth episodes of Penny Arcade Adventures. It’s a turn-based RPG that stars cosmic secret agent Alyssa L’Salle.

Here she is now:

Zeboyd’s Robert Boyd posted an update on his site regarding the game’s finer points. It’s being made in Unity, features turn-based combat and it will include 2D Pixel art throughout.

The protagonist is very promising. I’ll be watching this one.

I feel like such an avant-garde hipster when I derive hope from pixellated games over the most recent mainstream releases. I’m not sure if that’s a reflection upon me or the mainstream, probably both. It probably doesn’t help that I’ve been recently re-exposed to plenty of Japan’s flavourful brand of weird and colourfulness.

    I miss it.
