This game is really fun to play and the comedy is just perfect. Hell, it’s the funniest game i’ve ever played.

I called it a few days ago as being sent out to die. What a pleasant surprise to be wrong. It actually sounds like a lot of fun!

@8: It might still die when you consider the fact that there is barely advertisement for it.

These scores are quite surprising, I like others were expecting far worse with tight review embargo this game had.

I might pick it up during a sale after all.

They’re day one reviews, and half of the scores are terrible.

@11 Just because they didn’t give it full marks doesn’t mean it got terrible scores. A lot of DP fans were expecting scores a lot lower than the ones given

It’s a really fun game to play but my main problem with it was that it took me 5 hours to finish I did however have fun from start to finish and I will probably go back and play it again. Another small beef with the game is the writing which throws out jokes left and right and while some are genuinely funny others fall flat on it’s face. If you like how Daniel Way writes Deadpool you will enjoy the game if you don’t then expect the standard Way “LOL DEADPOOL SO RANDOM” jokes.

Expect poop jokes, vast amounts of poop jokes. The best jokes in the games were the more subtle ones, I have to say poop jokes aside I laughed quite a bit playing the game.

The fourth wall is not only shattered in this game but utterly destroyed for those Deadpool fans out there that loves that stuff which I thought led to some hilarious jokes and cool game-play changes.

I never understood the appeal of Deadpool. People always point to his humor, but it’s all a bunch of self-referential bullshit. Watching footage from the game and the comedy stuff is just terrible.

@14 The good Deadpool stuff isn’t all self-referential bullshit. It used to be a lot more subdued in the past, with the fourth wall breaking stuff being a lot less in your face and overblown. Now its mostly just… self referential bullshit.

@11 Well, they would be terrible if the reviewers were honest. Instead they’re somewhere between good and mediocre. 7-10 scale lulz.

Can you recommend some good Deadpool graphic novels please?

    @ Monkey

Ignore the new series, pretty horrible IMO. The best thing he was ever in? Rick Remender’s run on Uncanny X-Force that ended last year, which runs over 7 volumes, but DP is not the focus of the comic, just the comic releif in an otherwise pretty gritty superhero title. Otherwise, most of the Daniel Way written stuff is pretty good.
