Sanctum 2: Road to Elysion DLC announced, detailed

Sanctum 2: Road to Elysion is the new DLC from Coffee Stain Studios. The content adds a new character called Tysgan into the tower-defence shooter mix, as well as additional story content and extra four maps.

IGN reports that Tysgan is a rogue insurgent, and that they will get their own story. There's also a new weapon called the Gatling Laser that the site adds can unleash as supernova laser with its alt. fire mode.

One of the four new maps also has environmental quirks, such as a giant sledgehammer that can be used to smoosh enemies into a fine power. Towers also get a boost with Range Spire, an ability that gives all offensive towers additional range.

Sanctum 2: The Road to Elysion is out on Steam and PSN this summer at $4.99. However the $11.99 Steam season pass includes this DLC, as well as three subsequent packs further down the line.
