Dota 2 releasing in full this summer

Dota 2 feels like it's been out for ages already but Valve will open the doors to everyone this summer, following an extensive closed alpha and beta phase that has spanned Steam and various tournaments worldwide. It really does feel like it's out already, doesn't it?

PC Gamer reports that the MOBA will exit closed beta status in summer and will become ‘free for everyone’, as stated by Valve's Erik Johnson.

Community-led Valve site ValveTime has now confirmed the release window in an email to PC Gamer.

At present you can pre-purchase Dota 2 or take part via closed beta access, but summer should see the game fully released. Will you be taking part once it launches? Let us know below.
