Twitch Xbox One agreement doesn't preclude integration on other consoles

Twitch is hoping to bring native streaming options to as wide a variety of platforms as possible.

Speaking to Joystiq at E3, Twitch vice president of marketing Matthew DiPietro said Twitch will go everywhere it can, and has no exclusivity agreement with Microsoft.

"The strategy for Twitch is twofold right now: we want to make it as easy as possible to broadcast games and we want to make it easy as possible to view games," he said.

As well as the hardware agrement with Microsoft, which builds Twitch directly into the Xbox One's operating system, the company is building partnerships with developers, as for example Relic with Company of Heroes 2.

The PlayStation 4 is also going big on video streaming, although it's not clear what broadcast services the Sony console will use.
