Wikipad hits US retail next week

Ahead of a global launch this season, the Android-based gaming tablet Wikipad will be available in US stores next week.

Destructoid reports the $250 tablet arrives in stores on June 11.

You'll be able to pick one up at shops like Walmart and Best Buy; it's not clear if GameStop will be carrying it after an earlier deal fell through.

Wikipad was delayed by last minute design changes; it's screen has been reduced in size from 10" to 7", although its other specifications are unaltered.

Wikipad will support PlayStation Mobile and OnLive as well as many general Android and Google Play apps. Gaikai was expected, but that's all up in the air since Sony bought the streaming company.
