Destiny gameplay to be shown at Sony's E3 conference

We'll finally get our first proper look at Bungie's new IP in action during Sony's E3 2013 press conference.

Bungie announced iw will show Destiny gameplay at Sony's E3 press conference on the shared world shooter's Twitter account. It had promised a reveal at the trade show, but had not indicated when and where to tune in. Now you know.

Although the project was formally unveiled in February - after leaking like a sieve for literal years - it has not yet been seen in action except behind closed doors; some press who attended the reveal are yet to see it. The only public release to date is a tiny snippet from a longer trailer.

It will be an important event for the team; it's the first new project from Bungie since exiting Microsoft and Halo, which is a heck of a reputation to live up to, and Activision has invested heavily in the franchise in potentia.

Destiny is expected in 2014 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One with other platforms, like PC, not yet ruled out and the possibility of cross-save.

Destiny also made a star appearance at the PlayStation 4 reveal, suggesting Activision and Sony are quite pleased with each other at the moment.
