Battlefield 1943 servers fixed after a month of network errors

Battlefield 1943 servers are back online after network errors plagued a number of players, causing them to be unable to play the game.

Not everyone experienced the issues, but enough did, according to Eurogamer.

On May 13 DICE said the issues causing the game to be unplayable was was under investigation, and not much other than 'we're working on it' was said on the matter.

"Just moments ago, our Software Engineers were able to get this sorted, and you should not experience this issue any more," reads a post from yesterday on the forums. "Please let us know otherwise. Thank you all for your patience and understanding while we were looking into this."

An explanation for the outage was not provided, but one of users of the EA Answers HQ thread claimed EA Support told him the BF1943 outage was a result of an "attack" at the beginning of May.

DICE reported a DDoS attack on May 8 for Battlefield 3, and issue which was fixed on May 16.
