Double Fine has successfully funded its tactical fantasy romp Massive Chalice on Kickstarter.

At the time of writing, the Massive Chalice Kickstarter campaign has hit $734,123 of its $725,000 goal with 23 days left spare.

The game is pegged for a Windows, Mac, and Linux release, and delivers a fantasy take on turn-based strategy games like XCOM and Final Fantasy Tactics.

Meanwhile the game’s project lead Brad Muir has said that suits around a table don’t always know best when it comes to games.

Did you back the project? We’ll have more on Massive Chalice soon.

Best of luck to them but I’m still bummed about Brazen… why didn’t they try that game with KS?

Tactical gameplay and generational strategic planning are among my favorite themes. I sure hope they deliver.
