Halo: Spartan Assault domains registered by Microsoft

Microsoft has registered Halo related domains, which Fusible believes could be attributed to Steven Spielberg’s live-action Halo TV series for Xbox One.

According to the domains dug up by the site, Halo: Spartan Assault has been registered through the MarkMonitor company.

The domains, registered in late May, are: SpartanAssault.net, HaloSpartanAssault.com, Halo-SpartanAssault.com, Halo-SpartanAssault.net, and HaloSpartanAssault.net.

Each domain is registered to DNStination Inc, a Whois privacy service which is administered by MarkMonitor, of which Microsoft "a well-known client" according to the site.

While Microsoft has said it will focus on games at E3, we could hear something on the Halo TV series anyway. There may even be a game involved with it in some capacity.

Alternatively, Halo: Spartan Assault could be a game and have nothing to do with the Spielberg project. It could also be another season for Halo 4, now that Spartan Ops has concluded.

Last week, something called Halo Bootcamp popped up on the Korean Games Rating Board website.

When asked about it by Gamefront, Microsoft said: "What’s Bootcamp? It is not related to our Xbox One efforts, or the Reclaimer Saga, but rather a project we’re very enthusiastic about and will have more to say about in the near future.”

E3 is just a couple weeks away. Hopefully we'll know more then.
