El Shaddai IP acquired by director's new studio, more games may happen

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron director Takeyasu Sawaki has successfully acquired the IP rights to the brand from former holder Ignition Entertainment.

Sawaki's studio Crim now owns the IP, and according to an Ignition briefing the deal covers prequel, sequel, and all other derivative rights of the existing game." Crim added that it will now “will work with the entertainment industry to develop a potential El Shaddai business moving forward.”

In celebration of the deal Crim will hold an event in Tokyo on August 12. We'll have more on what transpires then.
