Fightback: Ninja Theory announces free-to-play mobile brawler

Friday, 24th May 2013 13:11 GMT By Dave Cook

Fightback is the new free-to-play fighting game from DmC: Devil May Cry developer Ninja Theory. It’s heading to iOS and Android formats courtesy of publisher Chillingo this summer.

PocketGamer reports that Fightback is side-scrolling beat-em-up with an 1980s vibe, and is backed up by a touch-controlled combat system.

The game will be hands-on at E3 2013. We’ll have more as it happens.

What do you think?

Thanks Dark.

Multiplayer? If yes, then I see this as a pay to win hence the free to play.

Wonder if this’ll be the game that Apple shows off in its usual “our devices play games too” segment at WWDC?

If people had bought NT’s games, they would not be making a IOS game, to fund their next game.

I hope this game is a success, cause they are one of the few triple A studio’s that are independent, and if they don’t make money we will not get their games on the new consoles.

They have made some of the best story driven action games this gen, loved all their games so far.

Well Enslaved and DMC didn’t exactly set the world on fire sales wise (though I bought and enjoyed both!)

I hope this works out better for them.

Wow, a mobile beat em up game, I want it! – Said no gamer ever

Joking aside, how can a beat em up game be made into a mobile game is beyond me. Unless you just tap the enemys and your character beats it.

… I still want to see more of the game, it looks solid enough.

You know what they should do instead? Make PSN games! Would love to play something like this on a console or PC, instead of you know, fucking phones and shit.

Oh what.. I was hoping HS2 for PS4.

The level of disappointment is too damn high.

@19: Sony would probably announce that first, since it’s their IP.

I’m indifferent. If it was a sequel to DmC, I’d be highly annoyed.

    Oh, Tameem…

Somehow I’m sure this will somehow manage to undersell…even though it’s free…

    Just because that’s Ninja Theory…
