Gamers who pre-order Ubisoft Montreal’s upcoming futuristic open-world game Watch Dogs at Gamestop or Amazon will get exclusive pre-order bonuses, the firm’s revealed.

Those who pre-order at Gamestop will receive The Palace Pack mission, while those who pre-order at Amazon will get the signature shot pack.

The Palace pack includes an investigation bonus that lets you unlock “exclusive investigation opportunities” and an ATM hack boost that will increase cash rewards when hacking into bank accounts. Gamestop buyers will also get a  Watch Dogs-themed poster which has been designed by DC and Marvel comic book artist Alex Ross. You can view it here.

The Signature Shot pack includes an additional single-player mission that unlocks a cool Biometric assault rifle and a new outfit called Black Viceroy’s outfit upon completion.

Watchdogs releases on November 19 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC. A PS4 version is also in development and will be a ‘launch title’ of the system. It’s also rumored to be in development for the next Xbox console, which will get a proper reveal tomorrow.

Thanks, Polygon.

I’m kinda sick of it. Am I the only one who stopped buying games that have any kind of preorder bonuses at all? I know I did. And when that happens, since my time is quite limited, chances are I will either never get it, or eventually get it very cheap on sale.
On the contrary, lack on any DLC planned at all is a huge selling point to me when it comes to day-1 full price purchases.

I’ll end up getting on Steam most likely, and only full price depending on reviews. IF i get a new console….maybe on that…

You’re not the only one. The only reason i didn’t preorder Metro Last Light was because it had preorder bonusses. However, i’m not opposed to preorder bonusses being purely cosmetics, like skins. It is when they affect gameplay i’ve got a problem with it.

@3 I had no problem buying Metro LL on PS3 since there’s basically only 1 DLC that is included in every first print copy, so I let this one slide. Something that’s included in every package anyway is not too offensive. Sure if it was like a level or a mission I’d had second thoughts, but it’s merely an unlock for couple of objects and a difficulty mode I’m not interested in (but have it now anyway). I do prefer when everything is on disk and not a download though.

I don’t pre-order unless it’s a limited edition that has lots of goodies. It’s pointless otherwise. Has to be something like what NBA 2K13 Did with the all star game.

I pre order only if there is a statue I want, eg Max Payne 3. Otherwise if a publisher wants to deny me content, when I’m paying full price on day one, because I didn’t pre order, well then they can fuck off. I regularly choose to not buy games for this very reason.
