Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection dated for July in US

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will arrive on PS3 in North America on July 9, Konami has announced.

Every core title will be available in a single box, from 1998′s Metal Gear Solid to 2008′s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. 2011′s Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is also included, and the entire set will run you $49.99.

So, to reiterated, the set contains: Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.

Expect it in stores July 9.

    And just so everybody knows, on Metal Gear Solid 3 HD you get playable copies of the original MSX versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2. The only canon game missing from this is Portable Ops, but that was never ported to a console and remains PSP exclusive.

    @2 Are you sure? Because MGS:VR Missions isn’t on PSN and that is included on the disk so I don’t see why MGS1 wouldn’t be on the disk either. Plus the disk has MGS1 listed on it.
