Android-based portable gaming device Nvidia Shield is due in June, with pre-orders opening next week. To entice you to try out the slick-looking device, which can even stream games from your PC so you can relax on the couch, Nvidia has released a video showing off its final design and feature set.

The Shield has a 5″ 1080p screen; analog joysticks; shoulder triggers; a Tegra 4 quad core processor; 4 GB of RAM; 16GB of memory; a micro SD slot for more storage; GPS; WiFi; BlueTooth; built-in microphone; a headphone jack; USB and mini-HDMI out.

It runs on jellybean and comes pre-loaded with Sonic 4 Episode 2 and Expendable: Rearmed.

Toi get in on the pre-order, you need to sign up for the Shield mailing list via its website. The device is priced at $359.

Thanks, I-Pod.

You got a few of facts wrong Brenna. (BTW I love the work you do)

    - It has a 720p Screen, not 1080p
    - There is 2 GB of RAM, not 4 GB
    - And the price is $349 instead of $359

This thing is ugly, but hardware wise it makes Vita cry.

Vita was mistimed I think… Lots of devices can overtake it powerwise in the next year.

And to be fair, it’s power was the main thing it had going for it.
