Sony dev teases “amazing big title” for PS Vita

Friday, 10th May 2013 08:43 GMT By Dave Cook

PS Vita could be getting some sort of megaton announcement soon, acording to a threadbare tease from Shahid Kamal Ahmad, senior business development manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Seriously, it’s threadbare.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you:

Well, E3 is coming up soon, so something could be announced during Sony’s pre-showcase, but what do you think it could be? A new portable Uncharted? Assassin’s Creed: Phoenix Rising? Soul Sacrifice 2?

Speculate below. Thanks to NeoGAF for spotting the tweet.

    Since Animal Crossing and other life simulators are famous on handhelds, I am sure what Sony will do-

    Vita Simulator – How to save a dying handheld :P

    That aside, my guess is GT6 is coming in some capacity to Vita.

    A (!) driving simulator (!) on a handheld. Great choice. LoL. That’s not what I want to see for a Vita.

    Reckon you are right. If you watch the Youtube clip for the event next week at ~34 seconds. It animates through GT 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, _, _, _. Purposefully three underscore flashes? PS3, PS4, PSV?

    Be interesting to see what they do with it. The PSP version was a big let down, but some elements like quick races, time trials, b-spec, licence tests can work well on a hand held. All the better if it links up with the PS3/PS4 versions.

    Yup, and GT PSP sold almost 4 million copies, very good for a handheld that got its software sales killed by piracy.

    “Yup, and GT PSP sold almost 4 million copies”

    Very good for a handheld that had 60 million install base. Vita has… the install base of the PsP GT sales. LOL

    I’m betting on Last Guardian, exclusively for Vita.

    If it’s GT, then please for the love of f**k put accelerate and brake on the right stick. Digital accelerate makes me a sad panda. Looking at you F1, WRC and friends. The only racer that can get away with that is wipeout.

    @4 did you noticed it too? :)

    Isn’t stick accelerate/brake the default control for GT games anyway?

    A vita instalment of the Elder Scrolls Travels, lying somewhere between Morrowind and Oblivion on a technical level. Yes.

    Amazing, one week of nerdy nerd sales and back into hardware oblivion.

    I’m guessing it’s something great that has online play or is a RPG

    @1 & @2 Whoa you are so cool and edgy, can we walk together in the playground?

    @11 What

    @16 YES

    My guess, either a GT game or a Metal Gear Ish Something-Ish or a Crash game-ish… The possibilities are INFINITE (Bioshock, Bioshock for PSVita, see what I did there?)

    @ 10 that would be cool :) I never got to play the first one but I heard it was the last great RPG before this current gen came in. I think it will be GTA5!
