North American pre-orders for Vanillaware’s Dragon’s Crown come with a bonus soft-cover art book.

Siliconera reports the 64-page book includes character and environmental art with commentary from artists.

There’ll also be additional commissioned illustrations from three Japanese videogame artists: Akira Yasuda of Darkstalkers and Marvel vs Capcom, Kinu Nishimura of Code of Princess and, Virtue’s Last Reward, and Gouda Cheese of Super Street Fighter II and Darkstalkers.

Dragon’s Crown is headed to PS and Vita, and is due in North America in August.

My bad, I was thinking of a different Vita title.

That is pretty awesome. And, to me, at least, feels like a big poke in the eye to those prudes who were bitching about the character design.

really cool. this is something i like as a preorder bonus…ingame skins and all that stuff that just has been taken out of the game so it can be a “Bonus” stink. an artbook or a strategy guide, that´s a real “thank you for preordering our game” gift imo. i am not collecting games but for some i really like something like an artbook. this could be one of those games. i also just started playing demons souls and i totally love everything about it so i just ordered the black phantom limited edition (the EU limited edition that comes with an artbook), eventhough i already own the game and it´ll bee on psplus next month :) i just love the game and the artdesign. i also ordered the dark souls limited edition too now and cannot wait to play it…will start playing it in a year or so though probably with all my backlog ´n all.
i wont sell my ps3 when i (eventually) buy the ps4 at launch, that´s for sure.

Great news I planned on getting it from day one but I’ll pre-order it online now. Going to pick up the vita version first and then get the ps3 version once the price drops just for the hell of it since it has cross save
