The Realm dev interview explores gorgeous design

If there's one aspect that really stands out about point-and-click adventure The Realm, its the incredible art. In a new video, concept artist Charlie Bowater talks about the process of creating her gorgeous characters.

Bowater was behind the design of protagonist of Sarina as well as having input on the Shadow of the Colossus-like Toru.

The Realm is expected on PC and tablets in early 2014, assuming all goes well. It takes place in a distant future in which nature has taken over the ruins of modern civilisation, and is set - quite unusually - in the North East of England.

Check out The Realm's Kickstarter if you'd like to see it come to market; with less than two weeks to go, it still has to accumulate the majority of its funding goal. If you're on the fence, this gameplay video may help you make up your mind.
