Mega Man shooter "polarized" opinion at Capcom

Just as the fan base is divided over the shelved Mega Man shooter, so too did Capcom staff harbour mixed feelings about the reboot.

In a thread on Capcom Unity, refreshingly open Capcom USA senior vice president Christian Svensson suggested the publisher was in two minds over the game.

"Given the lack of consensus in this thread alone, that should tell you what you needed to know. Suffice to say, there were very polarized opinions internally on this project as well," Svensson said.

Fans reacted both with horror and excitement at the prospect of Maverick Hunter, which seems not to have made it much past the prototype stage.

Thanks, Siliconera.
