Bethesda opens new play-test lab, invites gamers to apply

Bethesda has opened a new play-testing lab in Dallas, Texas and is now inviting gamers to apply for a position as tester at the studio.

The invite was posted on the Beth Blog and confirms that the lab is based at the id Software offices.

“In the coming weeks and months,” the post reads, “we’ll be kicking off our first play tests with folks that apply from our official website. Folks that apply will be able to play games before they release and even score some cool Bethesda swag.”

It’s not clear which Bethesda game will be the focus of testing, as The Elder Srolls Online development continues, and of course, Bethesda’s “next big adventure” has been confirmed as in development now.

What do you think Bethesda is working on, aside from The Elder Scrolls Online? Let us know below.

Indeed. And considering the mindset of people these days (who don’t mind to do free beta testing which people used to be paid for, who don’t mind creating content for games for free, etc.), I think they’re gonna get it.

“What do you think Bethesda is working on, aside from The Elder Scrolls Online? Let us know below.” Bethesda isn’t working in The Elder Scrolls Online, it’s being made by Zenimax Online, a branch of Bethesda parent company Zenimax. If Bethesda Game Studios is doing anything right now it’s either pre conception of The Elder Scrolls 6 or development of Fallout 4.

Free or not, it’s about time Bethesda got a play testing department. Considering the amount of ridiculous bugs that are usually in their games, I’ve always suspected they didn’t actually have one.
