Nvidia appoints new Tegra boss Deepu Talla

Nvidia has appointed Deepu Talla as head of the company's Tegra division, following the departure of Phil Carmack, who has now taken up position as CEO at an unnamed partner company.

Gi.biz reports that the company's Tegra division is now worth an estimated $750 million in yearly revenue, and was founded by Carmack over the span of a decade.

Talla worked for then years at Texas Instruments until he joined Nvidia earlier this year as VP of Tegra business development. He now oversees the full division.

We went hands on with the Tegra-4 powered Project Shield at GDC last month. Check out our session here.
