Monster Hunter Tri servers on Wii shut down today

Tuesday, 30th April 2013 14:25 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

The Monster Hunter Tri servers on Wii will be shut down today. The closure was announced in January, so if you want to get in a quick multiplayer match you best be quick about it. The closure is in order to shift focus and resources over to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which launched on Wii U earlier this year. Thanks, Nintendo Life.

I was never a fan of Wii but you know what? Even with servers shut down, you can still enjoy Monster Hunter Tri. Next-gen, any and all always-online games will become instantly unplayable the moment their servers shut down.

I fully agree with you Red. I still play PSO on my xboxone and Gamecube. I would sorely miss that if I couldn’t.
