EVE Online trailer chronicles universe origins, links to franchise’s future

EVE Online continues to mark its decade of existence with interesting tidbits. CCP has followed the Second Decade Collector’s Edition reveal with a trailer that outlines the universe’s conception and future.

Interestingly, the video obviously points towards a world that is to be extended with DUST 514′s release on PS3. Even at 10 years old it is evident the franchise continues to grow in popularity, something that is surely not going to halt with DUST’s May 14 release date.

Check out the video below:

so many EVE online bits lately… to bad it’s really a boring game that almost no one really plays. it generates a lot of interesting drama, though.

Well there are tons of people who play it, so that’s not really true. The game is still the one and only real-ish sandbox out there, so they have my respect for that for sure. Combat-wise I agree.

I’ve only played the demo of EVE and it’s an awesome game. If steam add a way to pay the subscription from within it, then I will probably begin to play it.

    I wouldn’t call around 500k people “tons”.

Tis coz of the recent EVE Online fanfest, which has been generating lots of new info.

I think 500,000 people is a lot closer to “tons” than “almost no one”, especially when they all share the same universe.
