Minecraft creator's latest is Drop

Check out Drop, a neat little browser-based game from Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson.

The Unity title is available to play right now; it's pretty simple although you need to able to touch type. In a tweet, Notch said it was inspired by his ceiling, Super Hexagon, and the ending to Fez.

Notch usually participates in Ludum Dare challenges and releases the results for free, but this year couldn't do so for some reason. Instead, he built a little experiment called Trom, which later became Drop.

If you'd like to see more of Notch's smaller project work, check out Minicraft. The designer is currently working on 0x10c, a space sim, although he's taken a bit of a break due to writer's block of sorts.

Thanks, Joystiq.
