@2 Like when people left the PS2?
PS2 hardware and software is still being sold to this day.
Playstation 2 came out March, 2000 and GAME is STILL selling a huge amount of games for it. What makes you think every gamer will be able to afford or even care to want to purchase the PS4 on launch?

Hardcore gamers like me and you are a very rare few, we’re as the casual market who doesn’t even follow gaming news are the majority buddy. Most don’t even now PS3 is old tech yet.

@2 – Only a moron would completely abandon their old console the day the new one comes out.

Buying a system day one means you buy it as its most expensive, with its smallest library, and most likely to have hardware problems.

I don’t plan on buying a PS4 until at the very least 2015, whenever there’s 20 exclusives I must absolutely have. They’re still announcing new PS3 games in Japan, so I don’t think I’ll have to worry for a while about upgrading.

@7 – #2 is just trying to be negative. He was posting articles from IGN, of all places, saying that no one is going to play Dust 514 because, apparently, every single PS3 owner ever will just throw their PS3′s in a giant garbage bin and buy PS4′s day one.

It’s his subtle way of saying a game like this would only work on the PC.

@7, I don’t know if that’s correct. I’m sure I read somewhere that they have already acknowledged it won’t be on the PS4, or at least not near launch anyway.
