Keaven Freeman, lead developer on Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and Mythic Entertainment employee since 2007 has announced his departure today via his blog.

Polygon reports that Freeman’s decision to leave is due to a desire to “explore new growth and new career possibilities.”

Freeman’s post on his blog goes into more detail of the rewarding years he has spent at Mythic, especially the more recent years where direct communication with players really boosted the development cycles.

He also adds that he has nothing but love for the MMO players and the team at mythic and he walks away with a broken heart, ending the statement with, “Thank you all for some of the best years of my life… and I’ll see you on the battlefield!”
