You remember how important light was in Amnesia: The Dark Descent – or maybe you don’t because you sensibly dissociated and buried the memories forever. It looks like light’s going to play a major rolle in followup Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, too, if these almost unbelievably dark screenshots are anything to go by.
What’s happening in these screens? Where are we? Can I turn the brightness up on my monitor, please?
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs was developed by thechineseroom, the Dan Pinchbeck-led team behind Dear Esther. However, just like its Frictional Games-developer precursor, it looks absolutely god damned terrifying. It’s largely finished, and expected sometime this quarter on Mac and PC; I’m already crying and huddling under the blankets, just to save time.
Thanks, Bloody Disgusting.
