Rise of the Triad multiplayer shown off in new footage

Tuesday, 16th April 2013 03:34 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Rise of the Triad really harkens back to its old school roots, so those of you born after the Call of Duty revolution may find the multiplayer gameplay footage through the break somewhat too fast-paced to cope with.

It’s pre-release gameplay, of course, so forgive any rough patches. Keen to try it out? Tough, we don’t have a release date yet – but you can get in some preparation by studying up the almost fully revealed multiplayer roster.

If you’re after a more leisurely look at the game, check out the single screenshot and level fly-through video posted below.

That was… FAST! While liking it, the vid felt more like an upgraded Quake 3, not Rise of the Triad. To be fair though, an upgraded Quake 3 or UT2000 could be better than all current military shooters combined.

Am I the only one expecting the game to fail miserably?

It is freakin awesome. That’s what is FAST PACED Twitch shooter. Not some shitty military arcade POS with AUTO-AIM.

    Incredible work.

and there is a reason why this won’t come to consoles, because it is impossible to play something like that with a controller.

Pretty good rabbit jump simulator… Im not sure if a online game with 95% running/jumping and 5% of gun play could be even funny.
