Dark Souls 2 box art shows our hero facing backwards

Saturday, 13th April 2013 14:42 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Cover art for Dark Souls 2 has been released by From Software and publisher Namco Bandai. You can view it in all its glory below. It looks the same on all three formats, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but we’ve only posted the PC version because it is cleaners due to the lack of logos. So there’s no need for redundancy. Dark Souls 2 is expected in either late 2013 or early 2014. Thanks, AGB.

I hope the US gets a PC retail release. I would love to have this on my shelf.

Did the US not get a boxed release of Dark Souls?
I bought it in the Europe and it was pretty cool (some nice bonus).

I just hope we get a version that doesn’t require Steam or a similiar DRM scheme. Although i think only guys like CD Projekt RED actually does that these days.. Its still good to see a PC version of the game though ^^

Doesn’t look as awesome as Demon’s Souls’s cover or Dark Souls’s cover IMHO.

Any word on a Limited edition?

As long as it doesn’t have GFWL I have no problem whatsoever what other DRM types they’re going to put in there, even if the port is going to be a half-arsed one.

I think they are aiming for a late 2013 release. Otherwise they wont be amping up marketing this early. but anyway.. dayone buy for me :D
