Camelot Unchained demos show 500, 1,000 characters on-screen at once

Camelot Unchained's engine can do some pretty special things, even at this very early stage.

City State Entertainment has released two different tech demos to its Kickstarter campaign page. In both cases, the developer warns that animation is very rough, as the team knocked both up quickly just as a demo.

The first video shows 500 characters in-game at once, while the second bumps up to 1,000.

It may not be the 10,000 characters City State Entertainment showed off last week - but this time, the characters shown are loaded in over and over again, the same way unique player characters would be, which is pretty impressive

Camelot Unchained is being crowd-funded, and has already raised over $1 million. It has 20 days to reach its $2 million goal. City State Entertainment founder and project lead Mark Jacobs was one of the founders of Mythic, and a key creative behind Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online.

Thanks, Massively.
