Star Trek: The Video Game will hit stores two week’s before the film, featuring an evil Benedict Cumberbatch. A video preview to keep you in check until then is below.
During a showing of the game in London, Digital Extremes SVP and game producer Brian Miller and his team gave a 40 minute behind-the-scenes look at the game of five different levels.
“What we wanted to show the crowd tonight was what we planned from the beginning with this game which was to take Star Trek into a game and really bring it up to that triple-A quality – something Star Trek has never had before, “said Miller.
Since it is a third-person shooter, the game will contain all the conventions players are used to: cover, run in stealth, and other tenants. However, the game is more tailored to co-op so while Kirk really wants to rush into battle guns blazing, Spock will advise to take things more stealthy, which will give players experience points to upgrade their weapons should they choose a particular way of handling a situation.
You can find out more about the game through the video.
Star Trek: The Video Game releases on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 April 26.
