Nintendo developing fast bespoke WiiMote chargers, survey suggests

Tuesday, 9th April 2013 13:05 GMT By Dave Cook

Nintendo has sold a lot of Wii consoles, and at no point did it see fit to release a bespoke charger – similar to Xbox 360 battery packs – meaning we were doomed to horde AA batteries and rechargables for ages. Now, finally, it seems like Nintendo is getting with the times.

Nintendo Life reports – by way of GoNintendo – on a survey issued by Nintendo recently.

Note this question:

It seems like Nintendo is considering an all-in-one-pack that includes bespoke battery device and an AC charger to give it some juice. Better late than never I’d say, probably.

What do you think.

i think Nintendo is getting more and more desperate now… there is no games out for the wii-u. so they….

    1. asking its customers to wait
    2. giving away dev kits for free
    3. doing wiimote charges that should have be been from the gecko

next price cut…. then going software only… the path is given.

Here’s hoping the batteries offer at least 25 hours of playtime and don’t cost an arm and a leg to replace.
